A global collective dedicated to the advancement of isotopic research and methodologies.

The central objective of PITAAA is to promote international collaboration and provide a space for communication within the isotope community. Our key aims include:

• Collaboration & Support: Facilitating connections between early career researchers and across career stages to create a safe space for ECRs to seek support from a wider community.

• Methodological Advancement: Providing a forum for discussion and collaboration to foster cutting-edge method development and to refine the applications of isotope analysis across diverse materials.

• Knowledge Exchange: Championing the global exchange of data, resources, and expertise through community-driven projects. for the ancient metagenomics community.

We achieve these aims with various projects, and by regularly communciating with each other.

The PITAAA Community is an affiliate of The International Society for Biomolecular Archaeology ISBA, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered in England. ISBA provides infrastructural and financial support of the student-led activities of PITAAA.
